 One day in 2007, I felt like taking a piece of paper and compressing it into the smallest and densest mass of points I could. What arose was the 'Broccoli unit.' The model shown here is a tessellation of 25 of these units. It seems to have a great appeal, as it transforms the paper into a puffy, organic ball. It is especially fun to play around with this model by squishing, molding, or even throwing it.
